What a certificate reports
These are the analyses a certificate of analysis records, and what each one establishes. A value a certificate does not report is shown as not reported — never inferred.
Reverse-phase HPLC
Quantifies the target peptide and separates synthesis impurities. Reported as a purity percentage for the lot.
Mass spectrometry
Confirms molecular mass against the declared sequence.
Endotoxin assay
Reported as an operator and a value in milli-endotoxin units, so a limit reads as the limit it is rather than as a measurement.
Custody, storage and disposal
Obligations that travel with the material once it is received.
Storage
Each listing states its lyophilized storage conditions, and one with none recorded says so rather than leaving the field out. Recording them is a condition of publishing a listing.
Access
The material is kept under institutional control, with access restricted to trained personnel.
Disposal
Disposal follows the standards that apply at the buyer's own institution and location.
